Bonin's petition is named "$2000/month to every American #moneyforthepeople #covid19" and is directed at Congress. If the petition gets 3 million signatures, its target goal, it would be "become one of the top
Five smaller Change.org petitions for monthly checks have also begun to gain traction on the internet recently, according to Newsweek.
However, despite the petition's growth, it is unlikely that the White House will issue a fourth stimulus check with the economy showing signs of recovery.

Raising the minimum wage
Renewing federal unemployment benefits beyond fall 2021
Congress also has urged the Biden administration to pass additional relief as well, although there have been just as many members of Congress voicing opposition to the stimulus because of the unspent stimulus money.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a June 3 press briefing that President Joe Biden's top priority was creating jobs, but was "happy to hear" of other ways the economy could be stimulated, suggesting that the president would be open to another round of stimulus checks.
